Dr. Debra Cohen grew up in Chicopee Massachusetts where she attended Chicopee Comprehensive High School. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts, and went on to earn her doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston.

Dr. Cohen currently lives in Franklin with her husband and three children.  She is involved in school activities, and is a cub scout den leader.
